Easy Homemade Flan Recipe

Flan

Flan is a classic dessert that is perfect for any occasion. This recipe is easy to follow and produces a delicious, creamy flan that everyone will love.

To make this flan, you will need the following ingredients:

  • 6 large eggs
  • 1 can (14 ounces) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 can (12 ounces) evaporated milk
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 (9-inch) pie plate
  • Parchment paper
  • Water

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C).
  2. In a blender, combine the eggs, sweetened condensed milk, evaporated milk, sugar, and vanilla extract.
  3. Blend until smooth and creamy.
  4. Pour the mixture into the prepared pie plate.
  5. Place a piece of parchment paper over the top of the flan and then place the pie plate in a baking dish.
  6. Pour enough water into the baking dish to come halfway up the sides of the pie plate.
  7. Bake for 1 hour, or until the flan is set.
  8. Remove the flan from the oven and let cool completely.
  9. Once the flan is cool, refrigerate for at least 4 hours before serving.
  10. To serve, run a knife around the edge of the flan to loosen it from the pie plate.
  11. Invert the flan onto a serving plate and enjoy!

Tips:

  • For a richer flavor, use whole milk instead of evaporated milk.
  • For a fun twist, add different flavors to the flan, such as chocolate, coffee, or fruit.
  • The flan can be made ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
