Candied apples are a delicious and easy-to-make fall treat. They are perfect for Halloween, Thanksgiving, or any other fall occasion. This blog post will show you how to make candied apples at home, with step-by-step instructions and photos.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup light corn syrup
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 dozen apples, peeled and cored

Instructions:

  1. In a large saucepan, combine the sugar, corn syrup, water, vanilla extract, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
  2. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly.
  3. Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 5 minutes, or until the mixture is thick and syrupy.
  4. Remove the pan from the heat and let it cool slightly.
  5. Dip each apple in the hot syrup, coating it all over.
  6. Sprinkle the apples with your favorite toppings.
  7. Let the apples cool on a wire rack.

Tips:

  • For a richer flavor, use brown sugar instead of white sugar.
  • To make the apples even more festive, use different colors of sprinkles.
  • Store the apples in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
