This delicious Black Forest Cake Recipe is a classic German dessert made with chocolate cake, whipped cream, cherries, and chocolate shavings. It's a popular dessert for special occasions and is sure to impress your guests.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 (21-ounce) can cherry pie filling
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1/4 cup confectioners' sugar
  • 1/4 cup chocolate shavings

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour a 9x13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk together the milk, oil, egg, and vanilla extract.
  4. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and whisk until just combined.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
