Profiteroles Recipe

Profiteroles

Profiteroles are a delicious French pastry that is made with a choux pastry that is piped into small mounds and then baked until golden brown. Profiteroles are often filled with whipped cream and chocolate sauce.

Here is a recipe for Profiteroles:

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Whipped cream, for filling
  • Chocolate sauce, for serving

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. In a medium saucepan, combine flour, water, and butter.
  4. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly.
  5. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  6. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  7. Add vanilla extract.
  8. Using a piping bag fitted with a star tip, pipe the batter into small mounds on the prepared baking sheet.
  9. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
  10. Let cool completely.
  11. Fill profiteroles with whipped cream and top with chocolate sauce.
  12. Serve immediately.

Tips:

  • For a more flavorful profiterole, you can add a few drops of rose water or kewra water to the batter.
  • To prevent the profiteroles from sticking to the pan, make sure the oven is hot enough before baking.
  • If the profiteroles are browning too quickly, reduce the oven temperature to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
  • The profiteroles can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.

Enjoy!
